TGN Monthly Report -Louisville $7.5K Gamer-thon: Halo 3, RSV2, Call of Duty 4

TGN Monthly Report - April 2008

A step in the right direction...

Instead of calculating prize pools based on Attendance, all TGN events will now offer a set Prize Pool, LARGER PAYOUTS and More Winners.

Starting in May 2008 with the Louisville Regional Open, all "Regional" video game tournaments will offer a minimum prize pool of $7,500. Top 5 players (or teams) will now receive prizes and partial sponsorship packages to attend invitational and/or championship events.

Walk the Red Carpet!

Top 5 players from each event will represent the best of the best in the given city's Pro Team. Pro Teams must compete in online matches against other Pro Teams in order to maintain their position [Although the Guitar Hero 3 Pro Games would be an awesome sight you should see how fast fingers fly when the heroes step up to the stage, In fact there is an Atlanta Video Clip showing a crowd forming behind one badass match.] While we are touring the nation in search of the country's top gamers, Pro Teams will be used for advertising other events. * If players fail to compete in the Online Arena against other Pro Teams, the next highest ranking team will be given the invitation.

More Swag...

If you have been to a TGN event in the past, you know the factors are ripe for our events to surge in attendance and popularity. As we expand in size there is a burn for professional gaming attire, something players can be comfortable in while on a 46 kill streak. [Right!]. Shirts and other swag will be available at all events. Players will soon have the option of pre-ordering TGN shirts w/ Gamertags or Team Names added.

The only thing that stays the same is change. With a Flood of FPS hitting the shelves along with other mega hits one can easily see the need for additional titles to be added to the TGN event playlist.TGN $7.5K Louisville and TGN's Project Houston will both feature Rainbow Six Vegas 2 4v4 and Army of Two 2v2. Other games being considered are Super Smash Bros. and Front Lines.

Most Importantly...

The Schedule updates. TGN's Pro Tour '08 will be hitting the road all summer long. After finally going through Vic's desk this is all I can find :

TGN Louisville ($7.5K)- May 17th-18th, 2008

TGN's Project Houston ($10K) - June 21st-22nd

TGN L.A. / Hollywood - ($10K)- July 19th-20th

(expect TGN San Jose and Seattle shortly after)

As gaming continues to dominate the entertainment industry and TGN continues to blaze a trail of their own in competitive gaming there is no end in sight. Gamers rock!
